Tennis match to be held to assist home violence

WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – A tennis match and particular dedication will probably be held Friday in reminiscence of Mary-Ann Breault, a sufferer of home violence.

Breault was shot and killed by her husband December 7, 2021 beside the tennis courts at Holly Tree Racquet Membership.

Breault’s daughter, Rachel Knowles was beside her mom when she died and she or he is utilizing her mom’s story to create change within the home violence neighborhood.

Knowles will unveil a memorial bench on the “Increase A Racquet Towards Home Violence” tennis match benefiting Wilmington’s native home violence shelter.

The dedication ceremony will start at 6 o’clock on the Holly Tree Racquet & Swim Membership.

Attendees are inspired to put on purple to assist home violence consciousness.

The charity tennis match begins Friday and runs by way of Sunday.
