Resident experiences sound of “explosion” — Midland County crime log, Jan. 4, 2022

The next listing consists of current experiences from the Midland County Sheriff’s Workplace and the Midland Police Division. Compiled by reporter Andrew Mullin.

Monday, Dec. 27:

10:11 p.m. — Officers responded to a car crash within the space of Isabella Road and Currie Parkway.

9:11 p.m. —  Deputies had been dispatched to a Coleman location to help Michigan State Police on a menace’s grievance. Deputies stood by whereas MSP dealt with the investigation concerning the threats.

8:11 p.m.  — Deputies had been dispatched to a Midland Township location reference a loud explosion heard within the space. The deputies checked the realm, and the supply of the explosion was not positioned.


7:12 p.m. — A 38-year-old Sanford girl made a report on the Regulation Enforcement Heart. She felt she was being stalked by an ex resulting from her cellphone displaying uncommon habits. There was zero proof of her cellphone being hacked.

2:12 p.m. — Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash on South Saginaw Street.

12:33 p.m. — Officers responded to a car crash within the space of Partridge Lane and Pinewood Drive.

11:57 a.m. — Deputies contacted a 36-year-old Ingersoll Township male reference his autos registration plate being stolen. There are not any identified suspects, and the registration plate is valued at $5.

10:58 a.m. — A deputy sustained an obvious minor damage at a metropolis of Midland residence.

9:09 a.m. — Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash within the space of West Wackerly and Siebert streets.

4:51 a.m. — Deputies performed a site visitors cease at a Jerome Township location. The deputies contacted the 33-year-old feminine driver. Upon additional investigation, it was found a 39-year-old male passenger had warrants for his arrest. The male was arrested on his warrants and the feminine was given a quotation. A report is being despatched to the Midland County Prosecutor’s Workplace for evaluation.

4:18 a.m. — Deputies responded to a Homer Township location reference a 67-year-old Homer Township male who reported his son, a 38-year-old Homer Township male, was intoxicated and injured within the roadway. The deputies spoke to the 38-year-old who said he fell at his residence resulting from being intoxicated. The male was checked by EMS and brought to his residence.

1:13 a.m. — A deputy performed a site visitors cease at a Jerome Township location. Upon additional investigation, it was found the car didn’t have insurance coverage and the car displayed an improper plate. The 32-year-old Jerome Township male who was driving the car was issued a quotation for improper plate and no insurance coverage. A report was forwarded to the prosecutor’s workplace for evaluation.

Sunday, Dec. 26

10:53 p.m. — Deputies performed a site visitors cease at a Lee Township location. Deputies contacted the 42-year-old feminine driver. Upon additional investigation, it was found the feminine didn’t have a legitimate driver’s license. The feminine was issued a quotation, and a report is being despatched to the prosecutor’s workplace.

8:25 p.m. — Officers responded to a case of home violence and obstruction of justice on Springfield Drive.

2:42 p.m. – Officers responded to a two-vehicle crash within the space of Jerome and West Buttles streets.

1:11 p.m. – Officers responded to a verbal home state of affairs on Harper Lane.

1:08 p.m. — A 48-year-old male reported his 26-year-old ex-girlfriend continues to indicate up at his residence undesirable. The complainant wished to have the feminine trespassed from the property. The feminine left previous to the deputies’ arrival. The complainant requested the incident be documented however didn’t want to pursue costs.

5:42 a.m. — Officers responded to a case of home violence within the space of North Saginaw Street.

3:36 a.m. — Deputies had been dispatched to a doable breaking and getting into. Deputies contacted the caller, a 29-year-old Lee Township feminine. The feminine said somebody got here into her home whereas she was sleeping. No indicators of pressured entry had been noticed, and nobody was positioned within the space.

3:13 a.m. — A deputy was dispatched to the realm of a Lee Township residence reference 4 to 5 gunshots heard. The deputy checked the realm. All was quiet and nothing uncommon was positioned.

1:56 a.m. — Deputies had been dispatched to a Larkin Township residence reference a 42-year-old male reporting a doable assault on the neighbor’s home. Deputies spoke with a 23-year-old feminine who said she was arguing along with her 29-year-old sister. The events had been separated, and no bodily assault occurred.
