The Ohio County Sheriff’s Workplace emerged victorious within the Salvation Military’s “Battle of the Badges,” and the Salvation Military’s coffers are fuller for it.
The sheriff’s workplace, the Wheeling Police Division and Wheeling Hearth Division all squared off this previous Saturday to see who might elevate probably the most cash for the Salvation Military’s Crimson Kettle drive.
The Wheeling Police Division raised $1,424.93 at Kroger on Mount deChantal Highway, the Wheeling Hearth Division raised $1,016.36 at Riesbeck’s in Elm Grove and the Ohio County Sheriff’s Division raised $1,189.38 on the Walmart Meals door and $1,713.91 at Cabela’s.
The sheriff’s division earned the winners’ trophy at Cabela’s, and can preserve the award for one 12 months earlier than subsequent 12 months’s battle. The Salvation Military plans to make this a yearly occasion. The trophy shall be offered in March in the course of the Salvation Military’s annual dinner.
