GOGEBIC COUNTY, Mich. (WLUC) – Pete Matonich, the Gogebic County Sheriff, introduced his retirement Friday.
Based on Matonich, his final day can be December 31, 2021.
Matonich has been with the Gogebic County Sheriff’s Workplace for almost 35 years and has been the Sheriff for 11 years.
In a press launch he mentioned, “I wish to thank the residents of this nice county for all your assist given to me through the years. My job was made simpler by having such an expert and devoted employees, together with continued assist from the County Board of Commissioners. I’m without end grateful to my spouse and household for standing with me by way of all of it.
Whereas I sit up for having fun with my retirement, I do know I’ll miss the communities I serve, the progress we now have achieved, and the chums I’ve made.”
