NEW HAVEN, Conn. — A New Haven police officer was positioned on administrative go away after police say she was arrested for a home violence incident that occurred whereas she was off-duty.
New Haven police mentioned Officer Marlena Ofiara was in Wallingford on Oct. 24 after they had been alerted to her probably committing prison actions whereas off-duty.
Ofiara turned herself in Friday after Wallingford Police obtained a home violence warrant for her arrest. She has been charged with household violence of assault and disorderly conduct. Because of this, New Haven Interim Police Chief Renee Dominguez positioned Ofiara on administrative go away.
Ofiara has been a member of the New Haven Police Division for over three years and is assigned to the patrol division.
An administrative investigation can also be underway into Ofiara’s conduct by the New Haven Police Division Inside Affairs Division.
