MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) — The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Workplace participated within the dignified switch of stays of Navy veteran Keefe R. Connolly Friday, Oct. 29.
Navy Hospital Apprentice 1st Class Connolly, a local of Markesan, was 19 years previous when he was killed together with 428 crewmen of the USS Oklahoma, based on the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Workplace (MCSO).
His ship was attacked by Japanese plane at Ford Island, Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.
In a social media publish shared Friday, the Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Workplace stated Connolly is the newest of a variety of Wisconsinites killed throughout WWII and interred elsewhere, to be recognized by forensic testing by the Protection POW/MIA Accounting Company.
They are saying Connolly’s identify is recorded on the Partitions of the Lacking on the Nationwide Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific on the Punchbowl Crater in Honolulu, Hawaii.
