Dozens March On Downtown Denver To Name For Motion At U.S.-Mexico Border – CBS Denver

DENVER (CBS4) – Dozens of protestors marched via the streets of downtown Denver, stopping on the Auraria Campus, in hope of drawing extra consideration to the rising challenge of immigration into the nation. Those that participated within the “Ya Es Hora: March For Citizenship” hoped the march would encourage elected officers to deal with their issues with the humanitarian disaster on the U.S.-Mexico border.

In addition they hoped to create a transparent pathway to citizenship for Afghan refugees in addition to undocumented immigrants.

“We’re right here for immigration reform and a pathway to citizenship for all,” the occasion’s organizer, Hilda, informed CBS4.

“My husband was deported and has suffered abuse in detention,” Hilda stated.

Others, like Garcia, stated they have been there to demand rights for themselves.
