Deputy Willie Corridor, who had been with the Jefferson County sheriff’s workplace since 2018, has died. He was 48.
The sheriff’s workplace posted the information on its social media.
“It’s with nice unhappiness and a heavy coronary heart that we share with you the lack of our beloved Deputy Willie Corridor,” it stated in an announcement. “Deputy Corridor got here to us in 2018 after retiring from Birmingham PD. He was effectively beloved by BPD and the Sheriff’s Workplace. He devoted his life to legislation enforcement and we’re so blessed to have labored with him. Thanks for all of your laborious work and dedication! Could your spirit reside on via every individual you encountered.”
AL.com reported that Hall died after a short battle with COVID-19 and that he turned unwell with the virus only one week in the past. He was admitted to the hospital and positioned on a ventilator earlier than he handed away on Saturday, Sept. 18.
Corridor served within the U.S. Military earlier than becoming a member of the Birmingham Police Division. After 20 years of service there, he retired in 2018 and joined the sheriff’s workplace the place he served for the previous three years.

Corridor is survived by his spouse, Sharlene, and two youngsters, Joshua, 11, and Gabby, 8.
