WINNEBAGO COUNTY (WREX) — A Belvidere girl is charged after police say she hit a parked Winnebago County Sheriff’s squad car.
Authorities say the sheriff’s deputies responded to a minor automotive crash round 11 p.m. within the intersection of Laurel Cherry Dr. and Perryville Rd.
The sheriff’s workplace says whereas on scene, a purple sedan truck hit a marked squad automotive, whose emergency lights have been activated, and a tow truck. The deputy was not within the squad automotive when it was hit, in keeping with the sheriff’s workplace.
The driving force of the purple sedan left the scene on Newburg Rd.
A short while later, the Boone County Sheriff’s positioned the suspect car.
The driving force, later recognized as Nahomi Anguiano, 20, of Belvidere, was charged with Driving Underneath the Affect, Leaving the Scene of a Property Harm Accident, Reckless Driving and quite a few different site visitors offenses.
The passenger, a 20-year-old girl, was cited for underage ingesting.
