The Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Workplace has recognized two individuals killed in a crash Sunday on the intersection of Interstate 25 and N.M. 599 as John Griego and his spouse, Bryana Trejo, of La Cienega.
Griego, 39, and Trejo, 28, have been touring of their Hyundai round 5 p.m. once they have been struck by a Chevrolet truck pushed by 52-year-old Andres Lira-Hernandez, who didn’t cease on the intersection, sheriff’s workplace spokesman Juan Ríos wrote in an e-mail Tuesday.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing, Ríos added.
Lira-Hernandez was taken into custody and booked within the Santa Fe County jail after deputies found he had an energetic warrant for his arrest. Jail information present he was launched Tuesday morning.
The warrants stemmed from an incident during which Lira-Hernandez was charged with drunken driving, reckless driving and different misdemeanors after failing to cease at a DWI checkpoint in September 2019. A number of bench warrants have been ordered in July and August after Lira-Hernandez didn’t report back to a probation officer, didn’t register for DWI college and didn’t register for a sufferer affect program, court docket information present.
