New Hanover County Sheriff’s Workplace seizes firearms, roughly 1,000 luggage of heroin following six-month investigation


WILMINGTON, N.C. (WECT) – Following a six-month investigation, the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Workplace has charged three people on quite a few narcotics and firearms costs.

The heroin investigation surrounded the actions of Monique Gaymon and Darnell Hooper, of 426 Clay Road. The sheriff’s workplace says the investigation led detectives to 523 Barclay Hills Drive, the residence of Henry Massenburg.

On Thursday, Sept. 2, NHCSO carried out searches on the two properties. On the conclusion of each searches, detectives seized roughly 1,000 luggage of heroin, crack cocaine, prescription tablets, marijuana, three weapons (one reportedly stolen), and roughly $11,000 in money.

Gaymon and Hooper have been charged with quite a few narcotics costs. Gaymon acquired a $250,000 bond, whereas Hooper acquired a $60,000 bond. Massenberg, a convicted felon, was charged with trafficking heroin and quite a few firearm costs. He acquired a $800,000 bond.
