WARREN COUNTY, Ohio (WDTN) — An escaped inmate being sought by the Warren County Sheriff’s Workplace has turned himself in with out incident.
Derrick Volz, 27, managed to flee whereas being transported to an space hospital by employees from Group Correctional Middle on Friday, Aug. 27. The middle shouldn’t be affiliated with the Warren County Sheriff’s Workplace or the Warren County Jail.
Deputies have been alerted to his escape round 10:55 p.m. Friday evening and have been dispatched to State Route 63 and I-75 to seek for him. Volz was noticed going west alongside SR 63 towards Monroe, evading legislation enforcement for almost 5 days earlier than turning himself in.
In accordance with the Warren County Sheriff’s Workplace, Volz turned himself in to the Warren County Sheriff’s Workplace along with his legal professional current. He has since been booked into the Warren County Jail.
Volz was being held earlier than his escape for felony possession of medicine in Clermont County.
