WALDORF, Md. — As we speak we’re saying farewell to a really particular member of our household as he begins a brand new chapter in life. Deputy Director Robert Studds, #2130, is retiring after greater than 33 years of devoted service to the Charles County Sheriff’s Workplace.
Deputy Director Studds started his profession as a Correctional Officer in October of 1987 as a flooring officer in Custody and Safety. In 1989, he was appointed to the place of the 3-11 shift Primary Management/Consumption Officer. In 1995, he was promoted to the rank of Corporal and reassigned because the Assistant Supervisor of Staff One, and in 1997 grew to become Supervisor when he was promoted to Sergeant.
In 2000, he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and remained on Staff One because the Shift Commander. Whereas a Lieutenant, Deputy Director Studds additionally served because the Assistant Commander of Custody and Safety on the CCDC Annex and because the Commander of Requirements.
In 2016, Studds was appointed to the rank of Captain and reassigned as Commander of Custody and Safety on the CCDC Annex, and in 2018, he was appointed to the place of Deputy Director of Corrections, the place he would serve the rest of his profession. Along with these ranks and positions, he carried out the collateral obligation positions of the next: Emergency Response Staff member, Emergency Response Staff Teacher, Defensive Techniques Teacher, Adjunct Entrance Degree Academy Teacher, and Maryland Fee on Correctional Requirements auditor.
Deputy Director Studds says his biggest accomplishment “was the privilege in coaching and mentoring new workers, after which watch them succeed inside their careers.”
His life outdoors of labor may be very busy with residence tasks his continued service as a Volunteer Firefighter within the county, a job he has achieved for about 20 years. In his spare time, he spends as a lot time as he can along with his household and is trying ahead to transferring south to get pleasure from retirement and the salt life.
