OCOTILLO, Calif. – U.S. Border Patrol brokers from El Centro Sector arrested one suspected smuggler who illegally transported 14 undocumented immigrants into the U.S., Friday afternoon.
The car’s path traveled from Mexico avoiding U.S. ports of entry to illegally cross into the U.S.
The incident occurred at about 2 p.m., when Distant Video Surveillance System (RVSS) operators noticed a gray 2002 Cadillac Escalade EXT Sport Utility Truck drive north by means of the U.S./Mexico Worldwide Boundary round 22 miles west of the Calexico Port of Entry.
RVSS operators reported that the truck continued to journey north in the direction of Freeway 98. Brokers responded to the world and noticed the truck caught on the aspect of the street. Brokers approached the truck and noticed a number of people outdoors of the car and two tried to flee on foot. After a short search of the world, brokers have been in a position to apprehend 15 topics.
Brokers arrested the motive force and all 14 undocumented people and transported them to the El Centro Sector Processing Heart for processing; brokers seized the car.
All undocumented people can be processed accordingly.
