Companions for Girls and Justice, a Bloomfield-based nonprofit, not too long ago acquired a $5,000 grant from Buyers Basis. The grant will assist Companions’ work to supply free authorized help to low-income victims and survivors of home violence.
The heightened prevalence and severity of home violence in the course of the COVID-19 pandemic has created a larger demand for Companions’ companies, based on the group.

Companions for Girls and Justice helps victims and their kids safe orders of safety, youngster assist awards and protected visitation and custody preparations. Companions’ applications present technical and procedural recommendation, counsel and authorized recommendation, professional bono authorized illustration and referrals.
