No prices filed in opposition to Sedgwick County deputy accused of home violence


WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – A Sedgwick County deputy is again on the job following home violence allegations.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Workplace stated Wichita police arrested Deputy Tyler Brooks on a number of prices together with aggravated home battery, home battery, prison risk and home violence prison harm to property. The allegations stemmed from an incident involving the deputy’s live-in associate.

The Wichita Police Division investigated and introduced the case to the Sedgwick County District Lawyer’s Workplace in addition to the Metropolis of Wichita Prosecutor’s Workplace. Each workplaces declined prices.

The sheriff’s workplace stated Deputy Brooks returned to restricted obligation pending the result of the inner investigation, which is being carried out by the Skilled Requirements Unit. Whereas on restricted obligation, deputies beneath investigation for a critical coverage violation do not need contact with the general public.
