An Orange County Sheriff’s Workplace deputy has been named New York’s deputy of the 12 months.
Investigator John O’Brien is being honored by the New York State Sheriff’s Affiliation for his quick-thinking actions that helped save an officer’s life.
O’Brien, who was working with the U.S. Marshal Service Regional Activity Pressure on the time, was assigned to apprehend a suspect wished in reference to the taking pictures of a Massachusetts state trooper.
Throughout the operation, two officers had been shot. That is when O’Brien jumped into motion, administering first help to the officer and finally serving to save his life.
