Nonetheless, it appears harmful and off the mark to attract an arbitrary line between little one and grownup at 18 years previous. It isn’t as if after we flip 18, we out of the blue acquire the maturity, data and confidence to identify and struggle off abusers, and even merely acknowledge abuse as it’s taking place. But our legal guidelines, as at present written, deal with survivors that manner, leaving no recourse for individuals who had been 18 or older on the time of the abuse.
