An off-duty Bexar County sheriff’s deputy was arrested Wednesday morning on the Southeast Aspect by San Antonio police following a report of home violence.
Alan Lira Leos, 30, has been charged with assault household violence inflicting choking or strangulation, the sheriff’s workplace stated.
Police responded to a 911 name for an assault about 9:20 a.m. within the 4000 block of East Southcross Boulevard.
Leos was arguing with a feminine when the dispute escalated, ensuing within the feminine being injured, the Bexar County Sheriff’s Workplace stated.
The deputy, who has been employed with the sheriff’s workplace since February, has been served with an order of dismissal in accordance with the Bexar County Sheriff’s Workplace Civil Service Fee due to his probationary standing, officers stated. He had been assigned to the detention bureau.
A sheriff’s workplace spokesman stated Leos failed to keep up requirements of conduct due to his arrest for household violence.
Inner affairs will conduct a separate however concurrent administrative investigation into the incident, pending additional legal investigation by San Antonio police, authorities stated.
Leos’ bail was set at $12,000.
